Bohorodczany (Brotchin, Bohorodchany)

Bohorodczany (Brotchin in Yiddish) is a town on the road from Ivano-Frankivsk to Nadvirna. Only the territory of the new Jewish cemetery could be seen there today.

A monument to the Bohorodczany Jews was erected in the Jewish cemetery in Ivano-Frankivsk by the Hasten and Halpern families in August 2002 (see below).

The photographs of Bohorodczany (Brotchin) were made by Dr. Vladimir Levin in April and August 2009, during the expeditions to the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
